No profile?

Why do some delegate-users not add an online profile? On Meeting Mojo, all profiles are displayed in a searchable listing, helping to attract meeting requests from delegates with relevant interests, and to encourage meeting requestees to respond by providing requestors’ business or biographical information.

A useful feature, and we take pains to ensure that users know it is there and how to edit it. Despite this, there are always some users who skip this step. We tried to find out why. We know that employees of big-brand firms only need the company name to attract hundreds of meeting requests, but surely the smaller guys would jump at the extra promotional opportunity. It turns out that some of these users can be put off by profile edit forms that are simply too long. The thought of taking time out from an already busy day to fill out an endless list of details is too much to contemplate.

A short edit form that fits into a browser window can make a big difference. If it looks like a 2-minute job, the busy guys are more likely to go ahead. Our profile fields configuration feature enables our customers to keep the profile edit form to the barest essentials. Users are able to cut to the chase when editing their profile, only filling the fields that are displayed in their online listing.

A great side benefit of this feature is the ability to create cut-down registration forms. Our simple conference website option is proving almost as popular as the 1:1 meeting system, and a rapid registration process makes it even simpler.
